Pi Gu Fasting

Pi Gu is the ancient Chinese way of fasting. According to TCM history, it is a Taoist practice used for the attainment of immortality. When people practice Chi Gong they can go into the Pi Gu condition. In this training, this condition can result in people not needing to eat for extended periods without being hungry while also having increased energy.

Pi Gu translates from Chinese as “stop eating grain.” Some the English translations use “Bi Gu.” Pi and Bi in Chinese are the same written but sound different. Pi Gu in China is derived from Chi Gong practice and slowly leads to a cessation of eating. People wanting to enter the Pi Gu condition need to practice Chi Gong then go into the Pi Gu State. When people are in the true Pi Gu state, they will not feel hungry and will stop eating food. They learn to eat the Chi instead of food.

Green Bean Experiment

Elton Lui, a Tong Ren practitioner in Hong Kong, tested the efficacy of Tong Ren by conducting an experiment with green bean seeds. During the week of January 7, 2008, Elton monitored the growth of the same package of seeds, separated into two containers with the same source of water, but treated only one of the containers of seeds with Tong Ren. The experiment and results are as shown above.

Leukemia

According to a report from the Leukemia Society of America, there were approximately 140,000 leukemia patients in the U.S in 1998. The overall five-year survival rate for leukemia patients is 42 percent. The five-year survival rate for leukemia has tripled in the last thirty-eight years. In 1960, the survival rate was 14 percent. People with acute leukemia usually die within months, while individuals with the chronic types may survive only a few years. The overall five-year survival rate for children with acute lymphocytic leukemia was 80 percent in 1998. In 1960, the survival rate was very low, only 4 percent. In 1998, 21,600 patients in the United States died from leukemia, approximately 12,000 males and 9,600 females, with an estimated 4,800 deaths from chronic lymphocytic leukemia and 1,300 deaths from acute lymphocytic leukemia. Chronic myelogenous leukemia accounted for an estimated 2,400 deaths and acute myelogenous leukemia accounted for another 6,600 deaths. Other forms of leukemia accounted for an additional 6,500 deaths.

Brain Tumors

Brain tumors account for one in every one hundred cancer cases diagnosed annually in the United States. Western medicine struggles to deal with brain tumors because often times the prescription of the “Big Three” is restricted. Some areas of the brain cannot be operated on, or is too risky to be operated on. It could be hard for chemotherapy to get into the brain. Radiation may help, but it cannot be used over a long period of time. The most common method used in this case is the prescription of steroids. However, steroids cannot completely get rid of the tumors; it merely prevents the brain from swelling.

Tong Ren Technique

Developed by Tom Tam, and an integral part of the Tom Tam Healing System, Tong Ren is a form of energy therapy for restoring health and vitality. Tong Ren is based on a belief that disease is related to interruptions, or blockages, in the body's natural flow of chi, neural bioelectricity, blood, or hormones. Tong Ren seeks to remove these blockages, restoring the body's natural ability to heal itself, even when illnesses are chronic, debilitating, or otherwise untreatable.

Tong Ren combines western knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the ancient principle of "chi," or life force energy, to create what many consider to be a powerful new healing modality. Drawing on the Jungian theory of the "collective unconscious," Tong Ren is believed to access energy from this universal source and direct it to the patient. Because no physical contact is involved or necessary, Tong Ren is often practiced as distance healing.

Chi Loop

I first introduced the Chi Loop concept in 2001. Chi Loop is a new addition to the Tom Tam Healing System. The Tom Tam Healing System is one of the foundations of the Tong Ren practice.

Western medicine is based on straightforward anatomy and physiology. Chinese Medicine, on the other hand, is based on the principles of yin/yang, the five elements, the meridian system, etc. Tom Tam's Chi Loop is a major breakthrough in medicine.
